The creation in 2022 of Huit et demi, a collective of Marseille-based architects formed through the merger of four firms, is part of a broader movement of renewal in Marseille. Supporting the city’s transformation into a metropolis with a clear-eyed approach to urban planning, caring for both its historic and modern heritage, working on the regeneration of its deteriorated city centers, and addressing the future of its coastline in the face of climate change are all on the agenda for Marseille 2030. The combined references of the four firms attest to their expertise on these issues.
