AHA is a production and communications agency founded in 2011 by Annabelle Hagmann. Specializing in contemporary practices of architecture and urban design, AHA identifies and supports those who approach space as something to be questioned. AHA operates at the intersection of project development and its dissemination — both among professionals and with users and residents. Our focus areas include housing, the co-production of the city, the transformation of inherited structures, and the creation of new imaginaries and forms. Based in Paris, AHA develops projects in France and across Europe.

Annabelle Hagmann, founder
Drawing on a European network in the fields of creation and city-making, Annabelle Hagmann founded the A H A agency in 2011, driven by the conviction that architecture and urban design are powerful tools for building collective emancipation scenarios and deconstructing relationships of domination over living beings.
Capable of envisioning the most ambitious and least conventional projects, she grounds her practice in a deep understanding of contemporary issues and practices, strong analytical and forward-thinking skills, and a commitment to experimentation and the common good.
She previously oversaw press and institutional communications for the Cité des sciences et de l’industrie, then led communications and development for the agencies of the Plan01 collective (KOZ, Atelier du Pont).
Having completed classes préparatoires littéraires and holding degrees from La Sorbonne, Panthéon-Assas, and the Humboldt Universität in Berlin, she holds a dual master’s in Literature and Law. Annabelle is the mother of Jil and Arsène ❤️
Charles Darrousez, project manager
A graduate of EPFL Lausanne in 2024, Charles Darrousez has explored throughout his studies ways of rethinking how we live — balancing collective approaches with a minimal use of resources. He joined AHA to engage with practices that (re)shape the city — cultural, political, and domestic — in the context of today’s social and climate-conscious urban landscape. After spending time in Beijing, Lausanne, and Stockholm, he settled in Paris to pursue a transversal approach to architecture — one that guides and gives meaning to his work. Charles is also trained in theater, a bodily and emotional dimension of space that he continues to explore in Paris after his experiences in Stockholm and Lausanne.

Inès Gille Rodriguez
A master’s student at ENSASE, Inès Gille Rodriguez is interested in the political dimensions of architecture and in the roles of the architect beyond the built form, particularly through the studio “Architecture in a World on Fire” led by Dr. Xavier Wrona. Passionate about photography, she explores the traces and imaginaries revealed by the city and society. She joined AHA to better understand how to reshape our perception of territory.
