No less than 250 hectares of reclaimed port wasteland: the Deux-Rives district is the largest urban project undertaken in Strasbourg since the construction of the Neustadt between 1871 and 1918. Architects Dominique Coulon, HHF, and Tatiana Bilbao designed a new piece of the city on the Quai Starlette, combining housing and office spaces. For them, AHA developed the editorial concept of the project — from the competition phase through to the final oral presentation, where it was declared the winner. The story continued when Kaufman & Broad, the project’s developer, commissioned AHA to design a user guide for the building, helping to support the marketing and understanding of the office spaces. The making of the city is a complex chain — one that AHA knows how to master (almost) from end to end.
