On the Axe des Deux-Rives in Strasbourg, the Îlot Bois is a showcase of the city’s ecological future in the making. Today, one of its newest expressions has emerged: a fresh, unprecedented growth. Rising 11 stories high, the Îlot Bois demonstrates that it is possible to build entirely in wood, even at height.
This complex of 146 housing units maximizes the use of wood throughout its structure, extending even to the cores of its vertical circulation. Developed by Bouygues Immobilier, designed by Koz Architectes, and built by Eiffage Construction in collaboration with Altibois, the project is highlighted and promoted by AHA to both specialists and the general public, in partnership with the Eurométropole de Strasbourg.
