The quadrature of circles

R architecture (AJAP 2014) whose projects channel an architecture that is both functional and fictional, setting the right limit between generosity and frugality, inventiveness and rigor, local and global.

In Nantes, the silo car park squares the circle of peri-urban mobility with its quadrilateral of 62 meters by 62 pierced by a central void of 16 meters in diameter, whose double screw ramp optimizes traffic. Yet it is not the automobile kingdom that is glorified, but the surrounding landscape, ordinary but suddenly dizzying, unveiled floor after floor in an emotional spiral that winds up in the canopy of trees.

In Saclay, the Atmospheric research observatory of the Ecole Polytechnique, is organized in a concentric manner, to better fulfill its surveillance, exploration and teaching assignments.
