In what was once the former director's house of the Sudac factories, Semapa has sought to showcase its urban project, which now extends to the southeastern edge of the capital. Following a competition, Semapa entrusted the transformation project of this relatively ordinary building, located on Quai Panhard-Levassor at the entrance to the Paris Val-de-Seine School of Architecture, to the DATA agency. Anticipating the uses of the director's house, the agency has delivered not just a scenography but a functional tool-building to Semapa. This true space for work, workshops, and meetings is intended to help shape the urban project. Despite its cylindrical structure combining the transparency of glass with the lightness of metal, and concentrating the technical aspects, the space remains raw and open to multiple uses.
