10 Architect's Residences in France
Network of Architecture Houses
Initiated by the Houses of Architecture, ten teams of architects embark each year since 2018 on a journey across France through residency programs, a format borrowed from the fields of visual arts and performing arts, constantly reinvented. Through open-air experiments, these teams disrupt, reveal, and activate spaces while strengthening the connections between "territorial actors" and residents. This is the challenge: to reverse dynamics, to inject architects into territories rather than simply designing housing, and to show that these action-research projects are effective ways to tackle current issues: identity, sociability, play, the common good, and collective fiction.
AHA leads the morning session presenting the results of these 10 residencies as part of PARI, the biennale of the Network of Architecture Houses.
